The Hungarian Parliament passed a law banning the sharing with minors of any content that portrays or promotes homosexuality or sex change. The National Assembly approved the bill with 157 in favor and 1 against. Viktor Orban’s party, Fidesz, has a parliamentary majority and lawmakers from the right-wing Jobbik party have also approved the measure. All other opposition parties boycotted the voting session to protest discrimination against homosexuals.
The legislation mainly aims to combat pedophilia which is now associated with homosexuality in Hungary! The European Gay Network calls for the immediate expulsion of Hungary from Europe! The law approved in Parliament is unconstitutional and discriminates against the entire GLBTQ community which is already a victim of persecution in Hungary and which will aggravate the situation after this law !!
